Have you lost your joy?
Laura Pedersen of the Choose Joy Foundation shares the inspiring story of her late sister, Sara, who passed away from a debilitating disease.
Laura shares how you too can find your joy by making Godly choices in the hardest of circumstances.
The foundation was setup to honor Sara’s legacy of sharing hope, faith and love through her writing she left behind.
God calls us to be his disciples. Laura wants to fulfill that call and remind people that life is not about us, it’s about what He can do through us for His people.

Laura travels to do keynote speaking as well as speaking at conferences on the topics of Choose Joy and Leadership Lessons from a Homebound Girl. Tell me about your Story & Background
Laura is a currently working as a certified business coach with ActionCOACH as well as a certified speaker, coach and teacher with the John Maxwell team. In 2011 after losing her dad and sister, Laura found herself being called to continue the spirit lead discipleship of her sister, Sara Frankl. After 3 1/2 years of walking a path through the publishing industry, Laura and her family were blessed by the release of Sara’s book, co-authored by Mary Carver, called Choose Joy: Finding Hope and Purpose When Life Hurts. The book is based on Sara’s writings about her journey of discovering joy. In 2017 a Choose Joy Study Guide and DVD was published to accompany the book.
Now Laura’s path turns from the publishing industry, to continuing Sara’s spirit lead Ministry of Choosing Joy through keynote and conference speaking. Sara touched literally thousands of people’s lives across the globe, through her online presence. Laura’s belief is that this ministry does not have to end even though Sara is not physically present with us. In 2017 Laura was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her journey through cancer treatment brought her sister’s words to life as she daily chose to trust and have faith in the journey God laid out before her.
What is your SuperPower? What are you good at that you like to help others overcome?
I love to listen and coach people who are dealing with either physical or emotional pain. Coaching them in not asking God why, but what and how. What can I do and how can I serve?
