How to Judge Prophetic Words Desiree M Mondesir

Are you feeling unsure about prophetic words that you’ve received over your life?

Are you believing for a promise that is yet to come to pass?

With so much information we have available today it can be hard to discern what is truth and what is lies.

There are so many voices clamoring for our attention that the noise can become static, and make it hard for us to hear the still small voice of God.

Author, speaker and bible teacher Desiree M. Mondesir shares how to judge prophetic words so you can test them against the Word of God. With the right tools and knowledge we can rightly discern for ourselves the true Word of God so we can make the right decisions in line with His will.

Tell me your story & background

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, I had a strict, wholesome upbringing in the heartland of the United States. Not long before turning 14, I was uprooted from my beloved Iowa, and moved to Southern California. Although undesirable as a home, I did have my father and mother’s family to connect with, and soon settled in as a choir nerd with an eye for English Literature once in high school.

At 18, I moved away for college in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I attended Oral Roberts University (ORU) and loved [almost] every minute of it! The vast majority of my close, lasting friendships were made while there or because of my time there, and helped set my feet on a path toward the discovery of my purpose.

Tulsa was where I began to cut my teeth and began operating in the prophetic. I not only received words regarding my ministry, but also began to give words. I began to move mainly in the scribe’s anointing, which is still very strong, and also began to understand that the dreams I’ve had since childhood were also spiritual in nature, connected to my calling to the prophetic and deliverance.

Summer 2005, after my freshman year at ORU, my family had made the cross-country trek from Murrieta, California to Charlotte, North Carolina, and it was there that I returned after spending over five years in Tulsa. In 2010, I launched my freelancing company, Desired Assistance, and through an effort to attract a certain type of client, I began a wedding blog in January 2012. One year later, I launched DesireeMMondesir.com and while I’ve always had a love of all things wedding and lifestyle as is evidenced by my latest book, How to Host Overnight Guests, I began to feel the call to write on deeper, spiritual matters. It was also what resonated best with others, and many titles such as Judging the Prophetic, The Days of Noah and Lot, How I Fell Prey to Jezebel, The Origin of Demons, and others were birthed.

I’m currently in a season where the teaching anointing is very strong and, I believe, increasing, so I enjoying teaching on biblical matters, especially those pertaining to the prophetic and warfare. Many of these topics are an extension of the topics I generally cover on my blog.

I’ve been through many, many “diverse trials,” heartbreaks and betrayals, lack and frustrations, and witch attacks fit for fiction, and I’m grateful for where God has brought me from and for what He’s currently doing in my life. Yet I understand that I have not even begun to scratch the surface of what God is doing in my life. I’m looking forward to the journey!

What is your superpower? What are you good at that you like to help others overcome?

I am great at providing biblical tools for spiritual warfare.
