About Mimika
Mimika Cooney writes emotionally rich, closed-door contemporary romances about intelligent women, meaningful work, and love that grows through restraint, timing, and choice.
Mimika wrote her first book idea on a typewriter at the age of ten. It took her 40 years and 4 career changes to finally come back to her first love of storytelling. She believes love and faith go hand in hand, and every good romance deserves a little heartbreak, a lot of healing, and one unforgettable happily ever after.
Her stories blend warmth, wit, and emotional depth, pairing slow-burn romance with real-life professional stakes. Set in aspirational locations such as Paris, New York, London, and the European coast, her novels focus on connection built quietly, personal courage, and the moments that change how a life is lived.
Rather than relying on high drama or spice, Mimika’s romances are grounded, character-driven, and emotionally intelligent. Faith appears gently in her work as interior grounding rather than a plot driver, woven with subtlety and respect.
